Donor Hero: Ben Clarke

by Barbara Clarke

Ben was diagnosed with epilepsy at 15. He had Tonic-Clonic seizures, but was helped with medication to a certain extent. At 31 he suffered a massive seizure in the bathroom, the way he fell cutting off his airway. He suffered an hypoxic brain injury and passed away three days later.

He was our youngest, larger than life , with a hug, a listening ear and a kind word for everyone. He also knew exactly how to press my buttons!!!

How I love him.

He donated his heart, liver, kidneys and eye tissue. Last year we lost his dad to cancer. There is some comfort knowing they are now together.
